Managing Director, Reliant Safety

Combining a background of security, finance and property management, Mathew is Reliant Safety’s CEO and Managing Partner, in charge of day-to-day operations and strategic planning.

Mathew began his professional career as an officer and Ranger in the U.S. Army with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and participated in numerous combat and peacekeeping missions throughout Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, to include the initial invasion of Iraq in March of 2003 where he received the Bronze Star for his actions in combat.

After retiring as a highly decorated Army Captain, Mathew began a career on Wall Street and spent nearly a decade working in real estate investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Jefferies where he focused on strategic advisory assignments, M&A, IPOs, and capital markets transactions.  He advised or executed on deals totaling more than $20 billion over the course of his career.

Mathew currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Partner of Reliant Realty Services, LLC, a 700-employee full-service property management firm which provides property management, legal, accounting, compliance and maintenance services to approximately 13,000 units across ten states.

Mathew graduated as a distinguished cadet with a B.S. in industrial engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and also earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

Neil Nappi

VP of Security Operations

Neil Nappi oversees Reliant’s security operations, which entails overseeing Reliant’s Mobile Response Teams (MRT), tasked with maintaining security at properties, investigating incidents, and serving as liaisons with local police, tenants and community leaders; assessing the security needs of new properties; and continuously improving Reliant’s operating procedures.

Prior to leading Reliant Safety’s security operations, Neil had a storied career with the NYPD. Retiring at the rank of sergeant, he gained vast expertise in Crime Prevention, Implementation of Crime Strategy, and Crowd Control. Following his successful service as lead supervisor for the Manhattan North Narcotics Major Case Team with the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau, he was deputized as a Federal DEA Agent, handpicked to be Group Supervisor in the elite Drug Enforcement Task Force where he supervised a team comprised of DEA Agents, NY State Troopers and NYPD Detectives.

Neil in his years with the NYPD and DEA Task Force completed training in a variety of Law Enforcement and Leadership related training courses and exercises. He has also received training from the NYPD Counter Terrorism Unit in the Assessment of Critical Infrastructures and Dignitary Protection.

Brian Fishler

VP Sales and Marketing

A 25-year veteran in the security industry, Brian Fishler oversees Reliant Safety’s sales and marketing efforts throughout North America. He is also deeply involved in developing new product offerings and with the property assessment process.

Brian has gained expertise in a wide range of technologies, notably video surveillance (both analog and IP-based) and biometric identification. Prior to Reliant Safety, he worked for FST Biometrics, where he was responsible for developing new markets for integrated high-accuracy access authorization systems, including the low-income residential sector. Prior to FST, Brian served as Regional Director with ONSSI, an industry-leading Video Management Systems (VMS) provider; and Regional Manager with Canon USA, where he helped popularize the emerging technology of IP-based video surveillance.

Over the course of his career, he has been involved in nearly every sort of security and surveillance project, including systems for Major League Baseball stadiums, hospitals, railroad stations, smart highways and transportation hubs, retail centers, hotels and various government installations. He was even responsible for installing the camera that found the Titanic.

Brian holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Dowling College, and is a member of ASIS New York.

Michael Giloni

EVP of Surveillance Technology

An acclaimed IT professional with a specialty in video surveillance technology, Mike Giloni oversees all security technology and installations. His hands-on approach ensures a smooth transition from site assessment, to design, to installation, to maintenance and monitoring.

Previous positions include IT Manager at Sensitron Semiconductor, a high-reliability hardware manufacturer, where he designed and implemented the IT infrastructure for a new manufacturing facility; and Manager of Software Development with Aventura Technologies, a surveillance software/hardware manufacturer, where he oversaw the commissioning of many large surveillance systems for government and corporate clients.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Stony Brook University. 

Lawrence Fay

VP of Business Development

Lawrence Fay directs Reliant Safety’s overall business development process, which entails coordinating sales, office administration and operations.

Prior to joining Reliant Safety, Lawrence had a twenty-year career with the NYPD. Starting as a patrol officer in the South Bronx, he was later assigned to the Vice Enforcement Division as an undercover investigator. He was later promoted to Sergeant and was assigned as a patrol supervisor in Queens, and later as Commanding Officer of numerous Queens Detective Squads.

After being promoted to Lieutenant, Lawrence was charged with facility safety at Queens Central Booking, and later with developing crime reduction strategies as Operations Coordinator for the Office of Deputy Commissioner of Operations. Following his remarkable success and having assisted four commissioners, Lawrence decided to return to investigative work and was assigned to Manhattan Detectives where he commanded two additional Detective Squads prior to retiring.

Lawrence was also a member of NYPD’s elite Hostage Negotiation Team and has received additional NYPD training as a Homicide and Criminal Investigator.

Lawrence holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Stony Brook University.
